Gateway West in Reading, PA was one of the most complex sites we have worked on. The whole jobsite was surrounded by existing rowhomes and narrow streets lined with parked cars. Work crews meticulously navigated excavation equipment, concrete trucks, drywall trucks, and lumber and truss deliveries through extremely tight alleys to reach the jobsite. In appreciation for the nearby residents who patiently dealt with construction activity, we distributed gift cards to the neighborhood. The site was home to a former elevator factory and contained hazardous materials that were assessed and closely monitored by an environmental consultant.
