Case study W Donuts
One of the challenges of commercial remodeling is keeping the business running while a commercial construction project is underway.
Adaptive reuse of an existing commercial building requires extensive preplanning, close coordination with the business, and even more focus on safety.

What We Did

Project INtroduction Keeping the Donuts Rolling
That was the challenge we faced when W Donuts came to EGStoltzfus Commercial Construction for a complete redo of its popular Akron location. After all, how do you completely renovate a donut shop, yet continue to satisfy your customers’ cravings for your tasty products? Once you have people hooked on your donuts, you really can’t stop, can you?
That’s where EGStoltzfus Commercial Construction came in. Using a staged approach, we divided the shop in half and worked around customers and staff, getting our work done, keeping the donuts coming, and making sure everyone was safe.

Updated Space W Donuts now has a much larger kitchen and serving area, as well as indoor seating by a large fireplace. Plus, there are private rooms for community meetings. That’s a “W” all around!
